On September 4th, the Fourth Air Silk Road International Forum (ASRIF) was successfully held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. The forum is hosted by the Air Silk Road International Cooperation Alliance, China International Center For Economic and Technological Exchange, Civil Aviation Administration of China News Agency, Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone Management Committee, Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Group Co., Ltd., jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics and China Association of Port-of-Entry, co organized by China National Aviation Holding Corporation Limited, China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited, China TravelSky Holding Co., Ltd., China Aviation Supplies Co.,Ltd., Airbus China Company, and exclusively organized by Beijing International Aerotropolis Technology Research Institute. As a key brand forum of the 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services, the forum is themed "Digital Empowerment, Low Carbon Development - New Momentum for Upgrading the Air Silk Road Industry" and consists of an opening ceremony and a main forum, wonderful and exciting, reflecting new thoughts, achievements, and trends. With sparks of wisdom, it provides intellectual support for accelerating the construction of the Air Silk Road in the new era.
Wang Ning, Deputy Director of China International Center For Economic and Technological Exchanges, delivered the opening remarks. More than 300 representatives from more than 180 institutions listened to it on the spot.
The forum released the excellent cases of the Air Silk Road for the first time. Based on different dimensions of global service, China service, scientific and technological innovation, green development and development potential, the organizer selected excellent cases for the construction of Air Silk Road, showing the achievements and development trends of the Air Silk Road construction in the past five years, highlighting the demonstration and leading role of new services, new models, and new formats. Hainan Airlines Holding Co., Ltd. and Henan Civil Aviation Development Investment Co., Ltd. have been selected as The Air Silk Road Excellent Cases in Global Services; Airbus (China) has been awarded The Air Silk Road Excellent Cases in Green Development; Sichuan Airlines Co., Ltd. was selected as The Air Silk Road Excellent Cases in China Services ; SINOTRANS Cross-border E-commerce Logistics Co., Ltd. and TravelSky Holding Co., Ltd. have been selected as The Air Silk Road Excellent Cases in Technology Innovation; Northwest Civil Aviation Airport Construction Group Co., Ltd. has been selected as The Air Silk Road Excellent Cases in Development Potential.
“The Global 30 Council on Zero Carbon Airport and Industrial Park” has been launched. The Air Silk Road International Cooperation Alliance, the Global Ecological Sustainable Development Alliance, and China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited jointly initiated the establishment of “The Global 30 Council on Zero Carbon Airport and Industrial Park”, which integrates organizations and individuals related to the civil aviation green industry. Among them, well-known Fortune 500 enterprises such as Engie, Air BP, Total, Air Liquide, and Lafarge, as well as cutting-edge technology experts from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and China Forestry Group Corporation, have become the first members of the Global 30 Council. The forum has launched innovative pilot projects such as “Net Zero Air Route”, promoting the demonstration projects of carbon neutrality in airport construction, aircraft operation, and passenger travel , and contributing Chinese wisdom to the sustainable development of the global aviation industry.
During the forum, the Air Silk Road International Cooperation Alliance added new members. Nine well-known aviation organizations at home and abroad, including Airbus, Air BP, China Aviation Supplies Co.,Ltd., Beijing Capital Airlines Co., Ltd., Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Nuctech and others. The total number of alliance members has reached more than 40. It is reported that in 2021, the alliance will support the construction of the Air Silk Road Innovation Demonstration Zone in Beijing, and unanimously agrees that Beijing Capital International Airport is the source and starting point for the construction of the Air Silk Road. Alliance members continue to aggregate their respective industrial technology, innovation capabilities, and financial talents and other high-quality all-factor resources, and put them in the Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Demonstration Zone, jointly participating in the construction of the Air Silk Road Demonstration Zone. It is reported that the Air Silk Road International Cooperation Alliance is a platform organization to promote international cooperation in the aviation industry by domestic and foreign aviation-related government departments, enterprises and institutions, social groups and social institutions. China-Belarus Industrial Park Management Committee, Zambia-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, Paris Airport Management Group, British Airways, Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics and China Association of Port-of-Entry and many other domestic and foreign institutions and organizations are the first founding initiators.
The Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone made a new appearance at the forum. In April of this year, the Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone was established by integrating the former Beijing Airport Economic Core Zone and Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone, located in Shunyi District, Beijing. At this forum, the Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics and China Association of Port-of-Entry, playing full role with their respective advantages, and combining national strategies such as the "the Belt and Road", the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and the construction of the "two districts" in Beijing to carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of investment attraction, international exchanges, consulting and research, conferences and exhibitions and other fields.
Beijing International Aerotropolis Technology Research Institute has reached a strategic cooperation agreement with Taipusi Banner in Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia and the Carbon Sequestration Innovation Working Committee of China Forestry and Environment Promotion Association. In addition, China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited and Air BP have reached a cooperation agreement on the “Net Zero Air Route” project. Beijing International Aerotropolis Technology Research Institute has signed cooperation agreements with Taipusi Banner in Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia and China Forestry and Environmental Promotion Association.
In the unit of the summit "Capital Airport Economic Zone: Strategic Fulcrum for the Construction of the Air Silk Road", Man Qunjie, Deputy Director of the Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone Management Committee, delivered a keynote speech titled "Contributing to the Construction of a World-top Aviation Hub and Creating an International Integration Development Demonstration Zone of Airport Industry Cities". Xiao Feng, Chief Accountant of China International Airlines Co., Ltd. gave a keynote speech titled "Create a Strong Fulcrum for Smart and Green Aviation and Leverage the New Development of the Air Silk Road".
Ma Xiuxian, Commercial Counsellor of the British Embassy in China, Feng Hai, Executive Director and General Manager of China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited, Wu Zhong, Director General of the South-South Cooperation Financial Center, Xiao Chenglu, General Manager of SINOTRANS Cross-border E-commerce Logistics Co., Ltd., and Yang Minghui, General Manager of Air BP (China), also held a dialogue on "Promoting the Construction of Innovation Demonstration Zones Based on the Capital Airport in the Air Silk Road ".
The Zhengzhou-Luxembourg Air Silk Road has made a brand new appearance. The Zhengzhou-Luxembourg Air Silk Road is a bright new business card of Henan Province's opening up. The forum has set up a section on "Wide and Strengthen the China-Luxembourg Freight Route, Promote the Sustainable Development of the Air Silk Road". The heads of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Henan Provincial Party Committee, the Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone Management Committee of Zhengzhou Airport, and Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Co., Ltd. will gather at this forum to share the exploration and practice in the construction of the Air Silk Road in Henan Province.
It is reported that in 2014, Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Co., Ltd. built a "double hub" strategy covering the global air cargo network, with Zhengzhou as the Asia-Pacific logistics center and Luxembourg as the European and American logistics center. This leaded the construction of the Air Silk Road under the framework of the " Belt and Road". Faced with the ongoing impact of the pandemic on the global market, Luxembourg Cargo Airlines keeps working on Zhengzhou route. Through a series of measures, such as updating its fleet and improving technology, it has effectively responded to market changes and production capacity demands, achieving remarkable efficiency gains that attracts worldwide attention and letting the world hear China’s voice.
Cutting-edge issues such as smart green and low-carbon innovation have received an enthusiastic response. Relevant experts delivered speeches and dialogues on "New Scenes of Low-altitude Consumption Caused by the Fifth Consumption Shock Wave", "Aviation Emergency Rescue Services under the Background of New Low-altitude Consumption Scenes", and "Low-altitude Innovative Consumption Service Platform: The Last Mile of High-quality Construction of the Air Silk Road", which made the participants feel refreshed. Senior executives such as Rong Gang, Deputy General Manager of China TravelSky Holding Co., Ltd., and Hu Yongdong, Vice President of Airbus China, discussed the topics such as smart green, low-carbon innovation, and E-Aviation Supplies construction and so on. They reached a consensus that industrial digitalization, digital industrialization, industrial low-carbon, and low-carbon industrialization of the civil aviation industry will become inevitable requirements for the high-quality development of smart civil aviation.
Authoritative Index was released again. As an important indicator of China's aviation logistics industry, China Aviation Logistics Hub Development Index (2022) has been officially released to the public, which is an important achievement of this forum. The Index continues to update based on the Hub Development Index 2020 and 2021, and it is a comprehensive evaluation of the aviation logistics hub capacity of the 23 national logistics hub carrier cities proposed in the National Logistics Hub Layout and Construction Plan.
During the forum, the opening ceremony for the “Establishment of the Air Silk Road Low-altitude Innovation Consumer Service Platform” and the “Air Silk Road Makes China More Visible”series of activities were also held.
